L_KW and Soydivision have partnered to release a special edition vinyl album from Berlin, Germany. Working with Rabih Beani (morphinerecords.com) on distribution and PUSHSTANDART (www.instagram.com/push.standart) to develop the packaging, the cover is made from 100% recycled and biodegradable carton. Each is silkscreen-printed by hand using a color paste made from the Indonesian ingredients of curcuma, rice meal and kecap manis.

A special set of remixes from Berlin-based friends of Soydivision has also been produced and released on cassette and digital.

At points, this reminds me of the bands that defined early chillwave, like Ducktails, Memory Tapes, or Predator Vision; the guitars are similarly reverb-y and chorus-drenched, chords splashing out lazily and slow, swaggers subverted into saunters. However, the Eastern melodic flavor gives this more of an overtly mystical aesthetic, and the instrumentation and compositional elements are far more exotic and interesting. Highly recommended.
