"Each morning, I'm woken up with what's called a 'dawn chorus' by a murder of crows starting their day before the sun rises.

For my version of Istana, I wanted to tell the story of being lost right before the dawn - instead of retreating, maybe we too need to talk with each other like those crows - out on that estuary - to figure out where we wanna go.

The mix you are about to hear was created during the few days leading up to Pasar Alkisah after I woke up to record the crows and start thinking about how to present the amazing submissions from our collectives in a coherent narrative."
