"As fellow Indonesians we always understand the beautiful lyrics that Senyawa wrote, yet we are also aware that most senyawa listeners can’t even understand bahasa. We are always wondering how most people can enjoy senyawa songs without even understanding the lyrics. That is exactly what we experience while listening to Kabau, since it is written in Minang/Padang traditional language, we are not even really sure what the song is about.

Finally we are able to experience the pure sonic journey that senyawa offers. While wondering what this song is about, both of us have a knight figure in our head riding on his buffalo (kabau) ready to attack his enemies. Through this remix we want people to also be able to have this knight riding on buffalo figure in their mind."
