about

MUARA, RANTAU.
This piece begins with a lamentation of what I've experienced in the process of migrating over the past decade. It so happened that during this lamentation, I interacted a lot with an electronic sound device that had just arrived and became part of our family. It has 8 sound sources (oscillators) and then these sound sources have the possibility to process complexly with various circuits that exist in the machine. This reminded me that in the past decade of living (in Berlin), I have lived in 8 different places in 6 different districts/areas of the city. These two realities and inspirations are what started the compositions I made for this project. The joys, sorrows and pains of these ten years were felt again and re-expressed in every sound flow of my interaction with the sound device named Lyra. This story is mine and Lyra's, and now we invite your ears to enjoy it too.
